Stephen was admitted as a solicitor in 1979 following graduating in Law and Sociology. He has spent the whole of his practising life with Blaser Mills having trained with the firm before becoming a partner in 1981. Throughout his time as a partner he has been instrumental in driving the development of the firm and has in successive years been re elected by his fellow partners to the role of Managing Partner.
Having experience of serving clients across the whole range of legal services both contentious and non contentious, Stephen settled in his specialist field of criminal law in 1991 and since that time has built a well respected name for himself and the firm throughout the Thames Valley and in London.
His experience of high value fraud was recognised by the award of one of the few Very High Costs Contracts (VHCC) to firms outside London.
He has also developed a following in cases involving members of the teaching profession accused of physical and sexual abuse of students.
A developing area of work for Stephen has seen him involved in defence in high profile Health and Safety prosecutions and in representing clients charged with criminal offences arising out of Environmental and Fire safety regulations.
With his broad experience of clients of all kinds and the ability to give calming assurance to those in very stressful situations Stephen is a much sought after advocate, a fact recognised by regular referrals from other professionals including Magistrates and Judges.
