The Practice Management Unit (PMU) is overseen by Dipti Kumar and encompasses the IT Department, accounts, payroll, HR, archiving and general administration. This unit provides the vital, if mostly unseen, administrative backup that a firm of Blaser Mills’ size needs to function properly.
A dedicated IT Manager, Maria Dunn, maintains the firm’s modern IT systems and equipment and is always alert to new developments that may enhance our day to day work practices. Her main role, amongst many others, is to maintain a virus free, smoothly functioning, bespoke Legal Practice Management System operating over a high speed Wide Area Network. Maria can also turn her hand to development of Case Management software and, when necessary, install computer cabling. It is a busy and critical role.
Within Park House the accounts team is headed by Nicola Ashley whose team provide integral support for maintenance of client accounts from inception through to final billing and, if necessary, on to Credit Control.
Amanda Brewer heads-up HR and general administration, ensuring the staff have the tools to do their job and are, individually, well catered for.
The final element of PMU is our sizeable archive that, over the next few years, will be converted to digital format. This will be a major task and it is planned to be assimilated within a new practice management system to further enhance our range of services available to clients.
