Post-sentencing and Appeals
We provide continuing advice to clients after sentencing:
• representing prisoners who have been recalled on licence and wish to make a challenge – hearings take place before the Parole Board and are typically covered by legal aid; if successful clients may be released early.
• challenging prison disciplinary proceedings – these hearings often take place before a District Judge and determine whether additional days will be added to the sentence
• advising on appeals – we will undertake a rigorous re-examination of the evidence, whether we represented you at your initial trial or not, providing prompt, comprehensive and realistic advice on the likely outcome of an appeal.
