If you have been the victim of violence, threats of violence, harassment or pestering behaviour, you may apply to the Court for an an Injunction to prevent the other person from behaving in this way.
There are different types of court injunctions that can be applied for and the choice will depend upon the particular circumstances of your case and your relationship with the person against whom you wish to obtain the Order.
For instance, you can apply for a Non-molestation Order to protect yourself from violence, threats of violence or significant harassment; you can protect your right to occupy property by applying for an Occupation Order; you can apply for an Injunction against a person who pursues a course of conduct which amounts to harassment against you and, if the particular circumstances of a case justify it, a criminal prosecution may be brought by the police.
Whatever your circumstances, our experienced family lawyers will be able to advise you on the most appropriate course of action and help establish whether you qualify for Legal Aid.
