Darren Rogers circleDARREN ROGERS

Darren joined Blaser Mills in 1997, qualified in 1999 into the Criminal Department and was made a partner in 2002.

He was initially based in High Wycombe before moving to the Aylesbury office, where he remains. He is now Head of the Criminal Department and also has overall responsibility for the firms trainee solicitors.

A large part of Darren's work involves attending the police station and court. He especially enjoys court work and, in particular, cross examination. He deals with all aspects of the criminal law but has particular expertise in representing people accused of violent or sexual offences. He has acted in a number of high profile cases involving multiple victims, finding these types of cases very challenging but professionally rewarding.

Darren states that "I am totally committed to defending the client no matter what the allegation or charge. I pride myself on my professional integrity and robustly defending the individual despite sometimes overwhelming evidence; cases are often stronger on paper and can often fall apart when being scrutinised in court that is what I enjoy."

Away from work Darren enjoys many hours watching his son ignoring him while playing the XBox. He enjoys cooking curries (and eating them), shooting, driving, and socialising.
