Denise Herman circleDENISE HERMAN

Denise is the Head of the busy Family Department and is located at the Harrow office.

She joined Blaser Mills in 1991 as an associate solicitor having qualified in 1987 and practised at D M Fletcher & Co and Redmans in Croydon. Denise became a partner at Blaser Mills in 1994.:

Denise specialises in Care Proceedings, acting on behalf of parents and children and has been involved in cases concerning child sex abuse and Munchasens Syndrome by Proxy. She conducts her own advocacy at all levels including the High Court. She has considerable experience with complicated care proceedings including those with a foreign element. She is a member of the Children Panel (Children Representative) and also BAAF and NAGALRO.

Denise also deals with Private Law children matters including Residence, Contact, Child Abduction and Adoption both as free standing applications and also as part of divorce proceedings. She is a member of the Family Law Panel.

Denise also specialises in divorce proceedings in respect of financial matters including high net worth cases including those in excess of £5 million and applications under Schedule 1 of the Children Act. Denise has successfully acted on behalf of intervenors in respect of divorce proceedings to recover monies.

Denise accepts instructions on both a privately and publicly funded basis. She is well respected amongst her colleagues in the area and has a reputation as a fair but dedicated solicitor who will provide an excellent service to her clients. She will always seek to ensure the best outcome that she can whilst considering the commercial cost to the client in doing so.

In her leisure time Denise enjoys scuba diving, swimming, travel and the theatre and Ballet.
