Ian Partington circleIAN PARTINGTON

Ian is the senior member of our long established Probate Department.

Although mainly based at our Chesham office he also regularly provides services at our High Wycombe and Rickmansworth offices. He qualified as a solicitor in 1985 and has spent the whole of his career working for local solicitors Winter Taylors and now Blaser Mills.

Ian specialises in complex probate matters, inheritance tax, wills (including nil-rate band discretionary trusts), Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection matters and trusts. Ian acts for a very wide range of clients. He has extensive experience in dealing with very high net worth individuals and elderly clients and is a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (known as STEP).

Whilst undertaking the most complex matters, Ian very much sees himself as part of a team which is able to offer a complete service in all aspects of private client work from the basics of drawing up a simple will to the complexities of very complicated high-value trust work. The benefit to the client being that their work will be dealt with by a lawyer at the appropriate level ensuring the maximum cost effectiveness.

Ian is very busy with his family when he is away from the office. In addition, he is a qualified ECB Level II cricket coach and coaches at Ley Hill Cricket Club. He is also a rugby coach, a Child Protection Officer and a member of Chesham Stags Rugby Club.
