Jonathan Lilley circleJONATHAN LILLEY

Jonathan is a partner and is head of the Commercial Department at the High Wycombe office.

He originally joined the firm as a trainee in 1988, qualified as a solicitor in 1990 and remained with the firm as an associate solicitor until 1994 when he departed to take up a position with Fancy & Jackson in Staines. He became a partner at Fancy & Jackson in 1998. In 2004 Jonathan returned to Blaser Mills as a partner.

Jonathan's field of expertise is Commercial and Civil Litigation including property, landlord & tenant, insolvency & employment Law.

Jonathan has acted in and advised on a number of notable cases, including defending a search & seize injunction obtained against a high end Saville Row clothing agent alleged (with others) to have infringed the intellectual property rights of a well known coat manufacturer; third party disclosure order sought by the model Jordan against one of his paparazzi photo agency clients; defending and taking actions for several clients involved in allegations of breaching post-employment restraint covenants (competitive solicitation of business); representing a UK-based witness and attending deposition proceedings in the US in a multi-million dollar patent litigation suit between two agricultural machinery manufacturers and several cases involving the recovery of long leasehold commercial property for freeholders taking action against tenants for forfeiture.

Jonathan is happy to accept instructions from both large and small businesses as well as from individuals.

Jonathan has a wife and two young children and finds his leisure time mainly revolves around them but he does find time to enjoy football (watching but rarely playing), cricket, tennis and golf. Jonathan sits as a primary school governor at one of his childrens school locally to home.
