On Sunday 14th June, fourteen of Blaser Mills’ finest athletes took part in the Wargrave 2009 10k Charity Road Run.
Running along the undulating country roads of Berkshire in baking hot conditions and resplendent in their bespoke branded Blaser Mills t-shirts, the team – some of whom had been training assiduously for the event, others less so – all lasted the distance.
Leading the team home was Managing Partner Steve Bennett, followed by a clutch of his Criminal Defence colleagues from the Aylesbury office. Jonathan Lilley led the Commercial Department’s effort whilst Rickmansworth’s finest, Dave Matthews, brought up the rear, claiming that he was playing “sweeper”.
The team’s efforts were in aid of three charities – Cancer Research UK, Chiltern Air Ambulance and Daisy’s Dream.
Meanwhile, back in High Wycombe, the Practice Management Unit’s Maria Dunn and Mandy Brewer completed the 5k “Race for Life” on the same day.
