On the 25th of May 2018 the regulation of personal data processing will change dramatically with the introduction of a raft of new rights for individuals.
For the first time, individuals will be able to make direct compensation claims against organisations for breach of their privacy rights. In addition, the introduction of the GDPR will impose new obligations and increased liability on any organisation that processes personal data, with significant fines for breaches.
