The Personal Injury team takes on the London Legal Walk

An eight-strong team from the Blaser Mills Personal and Serious Injury team joined the Lord Chief Justice, Master of the Rolls, the Law Society president and the Olympic gold medallist Katherine Grainger to take part in the London Legal Walk in aid of the London Legal Support Trust.  The walk began and finished at the Royal Courts of Justice, and two members of our team even decided to take on the challenge of running the route!

The London Legal Walk raised in total £575,000 for free legal advice services in London and the south-east.  These advice agencies help the poorest and most vulnerable people in London.  With the Government’s recent cuts to Legal Aid, Blaser Mills’ team was passionate about supporting a charity which promotes access to justice.

There has been a great deal of praise for the London Legal Walk, with the Law Society Gazette commenting that “the legal walks have come to exemplify all that is best about the profession” and the Rt. Hon. Lord Phillips of Worth Matravers stating that: “The London Legal Walk has become the social and sporting event of the legal calendar.”
