We are pleased to announce that Adam Smith, Associate in our Child Care and Legal Aid Children department, has been approved by the Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation Scheme as a member of the Children Panel.

Children Law Accreditation provides a recognised quality standard for practitioners representing children in children law proceedings and is a means of identification for professionals, such as guardians, to identify qualified practitioners when representation of a child is required.

Adam’s experience focuses on Legal Aid Public Family Law cases and dealing with connected work such as Special Guardianship and Adoption. The accreditation will now allow him to represent children and children’s guardians within court proceedings.

Denise Herman, Partner and Head of the Child Care and Legal Aid Children team said: “I am delighted that Adam has been recognised as a specialist child care solicitor and look forward to watching his career develop further with his new expertise, he has achieved this very early on into his legal career which is an outstanding achievement in itself”.

Adam added: “I am grateful to my colleagues at Blaser Mills Law, who have supported me to obtain this accreditation, as well as those who know me, professionally and personally, all of whom have been so encouraging. I look forward to accepting instructions from Children’s Guardians and from Children themselves in the coming weeks and months”.
