“The firm has a rich history and a strong reputation for high-quality legal advice from lawyers who are experts in their fields. At the same time, its modern and innovative approach means that it delivers practical and cost-effective solutions” – Lex 100.

The Lex 100 (sister publication of the Legal 500) recently released its annual review of law firms that offer training contracts. The publication is highly recognised amongst students and graduates who seek a career in law.

Lex 100 offers unbiased, independent advice on the type of training contract, culture, and working environment that each participating law firm offers. The survey trainees undertake is completely confidential which allows them to speak openly and honestly about their current workplace.

We are delighted to announce that we have ranked as winners in two major categories, client contact, and work-life balance.

For trainees, the amount and variety of client interaction plays a very important role in their experience on the training contract. Feedback from our trainees on client contact included “receiving good feedback from a client who was pleased with the swift and successful conclusion of his property transaction”. Others praised “sitting in on many court hearings” and “managing own transactions and completing a large, complex deal”.

At Blaser Mills Law we strive to create a work-life balance for all our employees and it’s something that’s “very attractive” for our trainees, one commented that “it is unusual to leave the office after 6pm”.

Our trainees went on further to give us a glowing report, one commented “I had worked there before applying so got to know Blaser Mills and its ethos and wanted to be part of this fast-growing, progressive firm”. Another trainee stated, “I joined as a paralegal and applied for the trainee programme because of the friendly and positive culture”.

A further comment highlighted “the friendly, non-hierarchical, open-door culture – you never feel like you’re “just a number”’, ‘all of the managing partners know the trainees by name and make an effort to get to know you”.
