Colin Smith

Colin is a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial team. He specialises in corporate transactions, including joint ventures, management buyouts, mergers and acquisitions. Colin also frequently acts for buyers and sellers in business and share sales. He has vast expertise in Commercial law and has developed particular expertise in agency, distribution and franchising matters, including commercial agency issues, both in the UK and internationally.

Colin has acted for clients across a range of industry sectors including IT and Telecoms, manufacturing and distribution, freight and logistics, health care and professional services. Recently, Colin has acted for the main shareholder in the share capital sale in three major mobile tech companies in UK, Romania and Portuguese to a US purchaser. Colin also acts for the UK subsidiary of an international fitness brand, as well as for a global packaging business.

Prior to working in private practice, Colin worked in in-house teams at both Bhs Wickes and Proctor & Gamble.
